Devonshire House

Slow down and spread out when you hire Devonshire House on an exclusive use basis. You won't be tied to breakfast times or have to think about any other guests in the house, it will be all yours.

Completely private for your group of up to 10 in four ensuite bedrooms, ideal for a celebration or a multi generational group. A ground floor en-suite bedroom is available with level access to the shared living areas and entrance.

Living Areas

A spacious lounge with huge leather sofa to unwind, a selection of board games and a Freeview Smart TV if you can't miss your latest episodes.

A separate dining room gives you another shared area to use. Initially set up as one long dining table to seat you all, it can be split into individual tables, maybe a kids table and a table for the adults, or use it as a games room with different teams on tables.

Kitchen

The kitchen is spotlessly clean and functional.  All the appliances are fitted, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and filter coffee machine along with the basics: double oven, induction hob, fridge freezer and microwave. Crockery, cutlery, glassware and utensils for 10 are supplied.

We provide you with tea towels, dish cloths and washing up liquid, some dishwasher tabs and washing powder.   All the major supermarkets deliver, so pre ordering an internet shop for when you arrive is recommended.  For any last minute items a Tesco express is only a few minutes walk away.

The Great Outdoors

Devonshire House does not include any private outdoor space. With parks and countryside on our doorstep, the green outdoors is easily accessible on foot. Alexandra Park (with award winning views of the city) and Bloomfield Open Space (with the entrance to the Two Tunnels) are just a few minutes walk away.  Both have play parks for the children, table tennis, and Alexandra Park has the added bonus of a boules court and pop-up food outlets at the weekends.

Visiting the City Centre

If you fancy a trip into the city, it's a 20 minute stroll down the hill.  We recommend that you leave your cars parked up, parking is available for a small charge close by.  It is an uphill walk home, so if you don't fancy walking off your lunch then you could taxi for under £10 or hop on a bus -  a group ticket for up to 5 is a great option for the entire day if you are travelling together or pay £2 for a single journey.
