Only a twenty minute stroll to the city, with lots of free, unrestricted parking, husband and wife team, Chris and Louise offer a friendly and professionally run guesthouse. Their local knowledge and experience will ensure that you get the most out of your trip to the magnificent, World Heritage City of Bath.

Our five bedrooms are all light and airy with en suite facilities. Each room provides a haven for you to relax in, from tissues to a pretty plant, each room offers all the comforts of home and more, with up-to-date magazines, a hospitality tray, a docking station to play your favourite tunes, and a radio alarm so you won’t miss out on the delights of the city. If you have allergies and require foam pillows and duvets, just let us know before you arrive.

Our breakfast

 

We offer a traditional Full English Breakfast to start your day. Served between 8 and 9 am, our hearty breakfast is served in our light and spacious Dining Room, originally the serving area of the grocery and provisions store that was housed in this building. Remember if you have any special dietary requirements, let us know before your arrival and we will ensure we provide a suitable alternative. So that we minimise any waste, we ask that you pre-order your breakfast the night before.

 

Why not browse a copy of the local paper and find out 'what's on' in the city, whilst enjoying your morning meal.

Laburnum Cottage

(sleeps 2–4)

 

Nestled in the rear courtyard of Devonshire House B&B, Laburnum Cottage has a quaint, yet charming atmosphere, providing a welcome oasis from the hustle and bustle of the World Heritage City of Bath. Enter through a stable door directly into a fully fitted kitchen with dining area for four. The kitchen is equipped with oven, hob and fridge freezer, along with a coffee machine and microwave. A short hall leads to the open plan lounge with sofa bed (small double), TV, DVD, CD player and docking station. A selection of games, CD's and DVD's are provided.


A shower room is situated off the hall. Go up the spiral staircase to reach a double bedroom within an open gallery overlooking the living room.  Roof windows create a light and airy space, a toilet and wardrobe are on this mezzanine level, which has a sloped ceiling, low on each side.

 

The cottage has its own patio, with garden furniture for four, surrounding a small pond and waterfall.  Perfect for al fresco dining or simply enjoying a good book for the selection provided.  A secure parking space is provided with the cottage, enabling you to either decide to leave the car securely and take the twenty minute stroll into town or drive to your destination.
