DIRECTIONS FROM BATH SPA TRAIN STATION – by car

Follow the road out of the station which will take you onto Dorchester Street, keep in the left hand lane and go onto the bridge in the right hand lane over the river. Stay in the right hand lane and go under the railway bridge to the right. Take the first left A367 Wells Road Shepton Mallet.  Follow this road up the hill, passing the ‘Bear Pub’ on your right, leading onto the Wellsway.  Devonshire House is on the left next to The Devonshire Arms Pub.  Park on street, if there are spaces and unload.

DIRECTIONS FROM M5

Come off M5 onto the M4 at junction 15.  Take the M4 towards London.  Follow directions above.

DIRECTIONS FROM M4

Come off the M4 at Junction 18, travel down the A46 into Bath.  You will reach a large roundabout which directs you to Bath on the A4, take this road.  Follow the A4 until you reach a large set of traffic lights, a convenience store is on the corner.  Get into the left hand lane and turn left onto  Cleveland Place which leads into Bathwick Street.  At the new traffic light junction, outside the Crown Pub, be in the right hand lane and bear round to the right.  Go straight over next roundabout, you will pass the County Hotel on your right.  Get into the left hand lane, continue straight on at traffic lights, you will come through Widcombe (shops on either side) stay in left hand lane on small dual carriage way give way then take the first left signposted A367 towards Shepton Mallet and Radstock.  Follow this road up the hill, passing the ‘Bear Pub’ on your right, leading onto the Wellsway.  Devonshire House is on the left next to The Devonshire Arms Pub.  Park on street, if there are spaces and unload.

DIRECTION FROM A4 (Bristol)

Take the A4 out of Bristol towards Bath.  Through Keynsham (bypass) and Saltford, you will reach a roundabout with the ‘Globe’ pub on.  Continue straight on A4 (do not take A4 Weston) towards Twerton.  This is the Lower Bristol Road. Continue on this road for approximately 2 miles, you will eventually get to an Esso petrol station, shortly after this you will give way, move over into the right hand lane at give way.  This is the Churchill Bridge.  You will need to drive under the Churchill Bridge to the right and follow the signs to A367.  Follow directions as above from M4.

DIRECTIONS FROM A36 (Salisbury)

Follow the A36 towards Bath. After the Texaco garage roundabout you will pass through a small village called Woolverton there is a large pub on the right hand side called the Red Lion just after this turn left signed Norton St Philip This is the B3110. Follow this road through Norton St Philip then onto Hinton Charterhouse then up the hill through Midford at the top of Midford hill you will be faced with a double mini roundabout go straight across these then you will be faced with the Wellsway (you should be facing W K valet/ Motors) Turn right down the hill you will see Devonshire House on the right hand side before the Devonshire Arms Pub (This route cuts off about 8 miles and the city centre.)  Drive past the Devonshire Arms pub and turn first right and circle round to get you outside our house.

CAR PARKING:

There is a secure car park on site, however if you are going to be using your car during your stay, it is recommended that you use the on street parking, as we may not be available when you need your car.  The car park is in an enclosed courtyard through a large wooden gate to the side of the house.  It is often easier if you reverse in.  There is on street parking at the front of the Devonshire House and also to the rear on Entry Hill.  If you are parking on street, the recommendation is that you clip in your side mirror on the road side.
